Delta County, Colo. Selects GTG to Implement GIS Software Solutions

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announces that Delta County, Colorado has selected GTG to implement both intranet and Internet GIS software solutions.  The county will be implementing GTG’s Geo Blade Viewer and Geo Blade Web applications.  This implementation will enhance the county’s ability to serve its citizens.

Geo Blade Viewer provides a set of GIS tools in a simple, easy-to-use desktop application.  It allows for visualization of land management information such as utility meters, occupational licenses, work orders, building permits, and code enforcement violations.  Local government professionals have long desired the ability to map and analyze the spatial distribution of all data that is tracked within their enterprise IT systems. Geo Blade Viewer is designed to GIS-enable corporate databases in tandem with existing GIS data to provide a powerful set of tools for visualization and analysis.

Geo Blade Web, a highly customizable web application, gives the public the ability to access a variety of information about their community through any given number of websites set up by a local government organization.  Geo Blade Web gives the public the ability to quickly gather information about their community with a few simple clicks.  Along with the standard GIS functionality, this application contains a sophisticated toolset which includes: querying both spatial and attribute data, reporting capabilities, navigational tools, spatial analysis, and report generation.  Geo Blade Web also provides an easy-to-use administrative tool which allows for generation of customized searches, popup map tips, and consumption of web services.

“GTG is excited about the opportunity of working with Delta County,” said Curt Hinton, CEO of GTG.  “County staff went through a thorough evaluation process and determined that the Geo Blade Suite best met their needs.  Geo Blade Viewer will allow Delta County staff to have a common portal for staff members to access their wealth of spatial and non-spatial data.  We look forward to a very successful implementation and success at Delta County.”
